Tabitha Johnson

An experienced arts administrator and educator, Tabitha Johnson serves as Advancement Coordinator at the American Academy in Rome. A professor at New Jersey City University, she lectures on music business and entrepreneurship. She is also the founder of the local arts and culture blog taboo and is committed to fostering creative communities and amplifying artistic voices. She especially enjoys working to amplify strong voices in the arts and humanities, a mission that aligns deeply with her personal values and with the Academy’s work. Johnson holds a Master of Music from the Manhattan School of Music and a Bachelor of Music, with a Minor in Business Entrepreneurship, from McGill University.
