Zeno Baldi’s composition for two pianos and percussion, commissioned by Yarn/Wire, a New York–based percussion and piano quartet, will premiere during Yarn/Wire’s 2020 concert series, Currents. The work uses concepts emerging from recent studies in the field of condensed matter physics, namely time crystals, that have an atomic structure that is repeated in space and time.
