It’s time for the fifth annual Cabaret, a gathering of Fellows, Residents, and friends.

Please join the American Academy in Rome for our annual downtown benefit event that celebrates the work of Fellows, while providing critical support for Academy programs. As always, the fifth annual Cabaret will be equal parts reunion and dinner party.

The program features Academy Trustee Laurie Anderson (2006 Resident) along with a special performance of Bodycast by Suzanne Bocanegra (1991 Fellow) starring Kate Valk. Exploring topics as disparate as Roman art, rose queens, and Texas drill teams, Bodycast mines details of Bocanegra’s life to create a meditation on art-making and shifting ideals of feminine beauty.

Doors open at 7:00, followed by a Roman dinner prepared by Chef Sara Jenkins of Porsena and Porchetta.
