The American Academy in Rome will announce the 2025–26 Rome Prize and Italian Fellowship winners on Wednesday, April 23 at the Janet and Arthur Ross Rome Prize Ceremony. These highly competitive fellowships support advanced independent work and research in the arts and humanities.

The evening’s program includes a Conversations/Conversazioni on contemporary literature, moderated by AAR President Peter N. Miller and featuring Ayad Akhtar (2018 Resident, Trustee), Eliza Griswold (2010 Fellow), and Valeria Luiselli.

The ceremony and conversation are free and open to the public; they will also be streamed online.
