Biografia

Prior to joining the American Academy in Rome in 2022, Jake Rivers administered a humanities network for the Hannah Arendt Center at Bard College, where he organized conferences and seminars in Europe, Asia, and the Americas with global scholars and partner institutions. From 2018 to 2020, Rivers managed a museum at the Frost Place in New Hampshire. He earned an MFA from New England College and a BA from Suffolk University in Boston. A writer and critic, River is the author of a collection of prose poems, Eros the Length of a Sentence, published by Ghost City Press in 2020. He’s sometimes at work on a novel.
