But other things came out, a book of microhistories in 2004 called Love and Death, a volume with Riitta Laitinen of Turku on the Renaissance Street, a collection of essays with Germaine Warkentin here in Toronto on La Relazione on Renaissance reporting, a translation of Irene Fosi's La Giustizia del Papa, now Papal Justice, and some art history essays on Rome coming out with Gail Feigenbaum, FAAR'80 for the Getty. The archives retain their magnetic charm, and I come every year to find more treasures and hang out with Roman scholars."
Pamela Keech, FAAR'82 informs the Academy family that her long-time partner Nicholas Prince died on May 11. Nick, a designer and builder, was a devout fan and friend of the Academy and enjoyed many trips to Rome, and many fine hours at the Academy. He was especially noted for his skill negotiating the traffic of Rome and once drove right into Piazza Navona. He always treasured the ticket he received. A memorial will be held in August, date to be announced. Donations in his memory can be sent to the Academy.
