Lee Hyla Memorial Concert

Collected musical artists will present a concert of compositions by Lee Hyla, FAAR 1991, RAAR 2005 in honor of his life and his genius. The program includes:
String Quartet no 3 (1989) - performed by Lydian String Quartet
Basic Training (1994) - performed by Stephen Drury, piano
Migración (2013), Ciao Manhattan (1990) - performed by Callithumpian Consort
Field Guide (2006) - performed by Firebird Ensemble
Warble (2008) - performed by Sarah Brady, flute; Yoko Hagino, piano
My Life on the Plains (2010) - solo cadenzas performed by Sarah Bob, piano
Third Party (1998) - performed by Judith Gordon, piano
Passeggiata for solo violin (2007) - performed by Gabriela Diaz
The Callithumpian Consort performs Hyla's We Speak Etruscan in a video made earlier this year.

This year’s Beaux Arts Ball, an annual event of the Architectural League of New York, will be co-chaired by Tod Williams, FAAR 1983 and Billie Tsien, RAAR,2000. Content developers include 2 x 4, founding partner and creative director Michael Rock, FAAR 2000. All three are current or emeritus Academy Trustees.

The program will include with performances by the Momenta Quartet,
violist Samuel Rhodes, oboist Peggy Pearson and pianist Mei Rui. The
