Fellow Shoptalks
Jason Siebenmorgen – nature / garden / park
Landscape has played a significant role in the varied histories of Rome. Plants, both invited and not, provide a means for expressing and defining these landscapes. How do specific plants function in these landscapes? Are they icons of power, sources of food or are they purely for pleasure? This talk will sample a range of contexts from ancient gardens to the used and abused urban spaces of Rome today.
Jason Siebenmorgen is the Garden Club of America Rome Prize Fellow in Landscape Architecture at the American Academy in Rome and senior associate at Michel Van Valkenburgh Associates in New York and Boston.
The shoptalk will be held in English.
