Corpus Inscriptionum Latinarum: Digital CIL

The site provides online access to the volumes currently out of copyright of Corpus Inscriptionum Latinarum (CIL). This digitized version of the CIL will initially comprise the more than fifty parts (vols. I–XVI + auctaria and v. I, editio altera) published before 1940 and be made accessible in Arachne, the central object database of the German Archaeological Institute and the Archaeological Institute of the University of Cologne. Digital CIL is a joint project of the American Academy in Rome, l’École française de Rome, and the Deutsches Archäologisches Institut.
