Il lavoro di Present Practice riguarda “i modi di essere nel paesaggio”. Chiede alle persone di guardare, guardare di nuovo, toccare e annusare la ricca vegetazione che le circonda e trovare piacere attraverso il contatto con il mondo vivente. Ci piacciono i paesaggi abbondanti e privi di sostanze chimiche, che esprimono la regionalità e abbracciano la spontaneità. Il nostro nome riflette l’intenzione di essere presenti nel lavoro che facciamo e che questo lavoro sia duraturo.

Siamo fondatori di Present Practice e professori di architettura del paesaggio alla Ohio State University. Scriviamo, disegniamo, costruiamo e cresciamo. The work of Present Practice is about ways of being in the landscape. It asks people to look, to look again, to touch and smell the rich, vegetative growth around them, and to find pleasure through contact with the living world. We like landscapes that are abundant and chemical free, that express regionality and embrace spontaneity. Our name reflects an intention to be present in the work that we do and for that work to be sustaining.

We are founders of Present Practice and professors of landscape architecture at Ohio State University. We write, draw, build, and grow. We are recipients of the Center for Land Use Interpretation (CLUI) Residency, the MacDowell Fellowship in Architecture, and the Rome Prize in Landscape Architecture.
