Giorgia Zanellato graduated from the Iuav University of Venice in 2009 and from the Ecal in Switzerland in 2011 with an MA in product design. In 2009 she joined Fabrica, the Benetton Research Center, where she currently works as product-design consultant. Zanellato has also been working as a freelance designer for different clients such as Moroso, Atipico, Rubelli, Petite Friture, and Galleria Luisa Delle Piane.

Her works have been exhibited at the Triennale Design Museum, Maison & Objet, Art Basel Miami Beach, the London Design Festival, and the MUDAM, among others. She has collaborated with Daniele Bortotto since 2013, and together they founded Zanellato/Bortotto.
