History and Environment in the Ancient Mediterranean
The aim of this international conference is to bring together scholars and scientists from a broad range of disciplines to discuss the effects of climate, urbanization, and the use of natural resources on the ancient Mediterranean environment and their relevance to contemporary environmental problems. The conference is supported by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and organized by William V. Harris (RAAR’79, ‘81), William R. Shepherd Professor of History at Columbia University.
