Mood Librarian: Reader, We Were Meant to Meet
‘I continue to work on my book length hybrid poem/prose project, Mood Librarian, with a short film shot in AAR’s Library. The Library seemed a perfect setting to stage a reading of my poem, Reader, we were meant to meet. The film received great support from AAR fellows— from the readers to the composer and editor and AAR staff. What a delight to see the poem activated by diverse people reading a shared page —creating a crucible of meaning.
The poem, “Murmuration/Flock,” The poem flock was composed and completed at AAR and published in the art magazine MOUSSE. I was so pleased with their design based on a visual idea I suggested for the poem that I had it framed. It gave flight to the collection Mood Librarian.’
