Composer David Del Tredici Has Died

The Pulitzer Prize–winning composer David Del Tredici (1985 Resident), who started as a pianist and wrote a few atonal works before developing a “lush, melodious style,” has died. A key figure in American Neo-Romanticism, he is best known for adapting Lewis Carroll’s books on Alice in Wonderland to music.
