"Frederic Schwartz, who died on April 28 after struggling with cancer, wasn’t so much an architect as a public citizen who used architecture as a tool to improve lives." His Academy friends knew his remarkable passion and will sorely miss him. Obituaries have been published in Architectural Record and in the New York Times. See Frederic Schwartz Architects for photos and videos of his many works.
He appears in this short trailer of "Saving Lieb House" in which he plays a vital part in rescuing an iconic beach house by Robert Venturi (1956 Fellow) and Denise Scott Brown.
