The art historian Catherine Fruhan died on November 20, 2015, in Indiana.
Catherine Fruhan, 67, died suddenly on campus at De Pauw University in Greencastle, Indiana, where she taught art history and art for more than thirty years. Fruhan was the first art historian hired at DePauw and built the program there from scratch. She traveled to Rome every summer and was well known in the Academy community. Her campus colleagues remember her in a tribute published by the University.
