Join us for the AAR Annual Tribute Dinner on Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at the Waldorf Astoria to salute three honorees: Robert A. M. Stern, Cindy Sherman, and Walter Isaacson.

Meet AAR President and CEO Mark Robbins (1997 Fellow). Robbins is an accomplished artist and architect with a distinguished career as an academic and administrator. Robbins comes to the Academy after serving as the executive director of the International Center of Photography, dean of the School of Architecture at Syracuse University, director of the NEA Design Program, and first curator of architecture at the Wexner Center.

Robert A. M. Stern’s many contributions to American architecture include teaching at Columbia and Yale Universities, serving as dean of the Yale School of Architecture and as founding director of the Temple Hoyne Buell Center for the Study of American Architecture at Columbia, numerous publications on the history of architecture in New York, and the work of Robert A. M Stern Architects.

The photographer Cindy Sherman is widely recognized as one of the most influential artists in contemporary art. Her photographs and films that challenge conventional notions of identity and representation have been the subject of numerous international exhibitions.
