Artist’s Talk: Xu Bing in Conversation with Ornella De Nigris

The artist Xu Bing (2024 Resident) will discuss his work with Ornella De Nigris, Senior Researcher Oriental Studies, Università di Siena. Together they will explore the different resonances of making in the West and the East. They will also talk about the Academy’s commission The Road, currently on view in A Moment in Time: Xu Bing in Rome.
John Delury (2024 Fellow) will introduce the evening.
The event will be held in English with Chinese translations.
Hours
The exhibition is open until June 29, on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, 4:00 to 7:00pm.
For access to the Academy, guests will be asked to show a valid photo ID. Backpacks and luggage with dimensions larger than 40 x 35 x 15 cm (16 x 14 x 6 in.) are not permitted on the property. There are no locker facilities available. You may not bring animals (with the exception of seeing-eye/guide dogs).
