In conjunction with the exhibition Nero su Bianco, which remains on view through July 19, the American Academy in Rome presents the second in a series of appointments exploring the themes engaged by the exhibition. Relazioni, in collaboration with the Festival Internazionale di Roma LETTERATURE, features the Nigerian poet and author Lola Shoneyin, whose novel The Secret Lives of Baba Segi’s Wives was published in Italian with the title Prudenti come serpenti (66thand2nd, 2012). Also participating are Edmund White, Dasa Drindic, and Nicola La Gioia.
