This book presents the results of a three-year examination of the excavations of Frank Brown, carried out at the auspices of the American Academy in Rome in 1964–65 at the site of the Regia. Using Brown's excavation archive and a reanalysis of the excavated materials, the contributors assess Brown's reconstructions and chronologies for this, one of the most enigmatic buildings on the Roman Forum.
