Readings from "Great Pond" A manuscript of poems completed at the Academy in fall, 2025, "Great Pond" will be published by Milkweed Editions in late 2027.

David Keplinger is the author of nine collections of poetry, including Ice which was published by Milkweed Editions in 2023 and Another City, also by Milkweed, in 2018. It was awarded the 2019 UNT Rilke Prize for Poetry. Other prizes include the Emily Dickinson Award from the Poetry Society of America, the Cavafy Prize from Poetry International, the Colorado Book Award for Poetry, and two fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts. Poet Mary Oliver selected his debut collection for the T.S. Eliot Award. In 2025 he received the Joseph Brodsky Rome Prize in Literature from the American Academy in Rome. David lives in Washington D.C. and teaches at American University.
