Salone is a performance event, organized by the Society of Fellows, showcasing the work of renowned actors, artists, choreographers, composers, directors, musicians, poets, and writers who have each been awarded the prestigious Rome Prize from the American Academy in Rome.

The featured performing artists are:

  • Molissa Fenley (2008 Fellow), dance
  • Jay Anthony Gach (1984 Fellow), music
  • Bob Holman (1991 Resident Traveler), poetry
  • Dan Hurlin (2014 Fellow), theater: performance on video
  • John Jesurun (2020 Fellow), theater
  • Dave King and the Writers of the AAR, literature
  • Newtown Odyssey: Marie Lorenz, Dana Spiotta, Kurt Rohde (2009 Fellows), music, theater event: performance on video
  • Igor Santos (2022 Fellow), music

Tickets are now on sale through Eventbrite:

Doors open at 7:00pm for refreshments and camaraderie. Performances start at 7:45pm.
