HABEAS CORPUS, Laurie Anderson
HABEAS CORPUS, the new installation and performance by Laurie Anderson, RAAR 2006, premieres this month at the Park Avenue Armory. A press release by the Armory states, "Iconic performance artist Laurie Anderson expands upon her work fusing storytelling and technology, creating an installation and performance piece that examines lost identity, memory, and the resiliency of the human body and spirit. This gripping new artwork interweaves film, sculpture, music, and video to examine the story of Mohammed el Gharani, one of the youngest detainees at Guantanamo Bay." See reviews and a video clip.

Heart of a Dog, Laurie Anderson
Laurie Anderson's new feature-length film Heart of a Dog premiered at the Telluride Film Festival earlier this year and will be screened at the New York Film Festival on 8 October. It will open in theaters on 21 October and will air on HBO in 2016. Anderson designed the poster for the festival too.
