Cathy Lang Ho, FAAR'09 was commissioner and lead curator of the Pavilion at the 13th International Architecture Exhibition at La Biennale di Venezia. The US Pavilion was awarded a Special Mention in the competition for the Golden Lion for best National Pavilion, the first time the American Pavilion has earned an award from the Venice Architecture Biennale (now up, through November 25). She oversaw a team that included two other AAR fellows—John Hartmann, FAAR'05 of Freecell, which designed the exhibition in collaboration with Erik Adigard, FAAR'13 of M-A-D. See press here. The Birger Sandzén Memorial Gallery in Lindsborg, Kansas, recently hosted the exhibition Henry Varnum Poor: Commemorating 125 Years, celebrating the 125th anniversary of Poor's birth in nearby Chapman, Kansas.
