Giornate del FAI
The American Academy in Rome is participating in Giornate FAI d’Autunno and will offer guided tours in Italian of the McKim, Mead & White Building, including the Cortile, Salone, Billiard Room, Arthur & Janet C. Ross Library, and Bass Garden. For further information, visit the FAI website.
The mission of FAI (Fondo Ambiente Italiano, often referred to as the Italian National Trust) is twofold. On the one hand, it promotes a tangible culture of respect for Italy’s natural heritage, art, history, and traditions. On the other, it protects a legacy that forms a fundamental part of the roots and identity of the Italian people. A national, not-for-profit trust established in 1975, FAI has since saved, restored, and opened to the public numerous fine examples of Italy’s artistic and natural heritage.
