Winter Open Studios 2023
The American Academy in Rome will usher in 2023 with its annual Winter Open Studios. The event provides access to the inner workings of Fellows’ projects throughout the McKim, Mead & White Building. The event will feature installations, film screenings and performances by fall Rome Prize and Italian Fellows in design, historic preservation, landscape architecture, literature, musical composition, and visual arts that highlight some of the issues fueling their work this year, including storytelling, climate resilience, heritage preservation, loss, collaboration, and the persistence of creativity against all odds.
The participating artists are John Davis, Antonella Genuardi and Leonardo Ruta, Tung-Hui Hu, Marco Momi, Alessandro Mulazzani, Monica Rhodes, and Ioana Uricaru.
