The annual McKim Medal Gala honors individuals whose work internationally, most particularly in Italy and in the United States, has contributed significantly to the arts and humanities.

The American Academy in Rome will showcase the work of its Rome Prize and Italian Fellows in the arts with Summer Open Studios.

Two eminent scholars of race in the past will give short lectures and then discuss their work on race and racialization in Antiquity and the Middle Ages.
