The Academy is pleased to welcome Fulvio Peppucci, a senior executive and former partner at Bain & Company, as its new Chief Operating Officer.
Peppucci brings more than twenty-five years of experience in business management, strategic consulting, and international development. Throughout his career, he has driven successful scale-ups and business consolidations across the education, digital and e-commerce, luxury and fashion, and media sectors.
Peppucci previously served as General Manager at The Level Group and Managing Director at Sole 24 ORE Formazione, where he led the organization’s relaunch. Most recently, he served as Director of Student Operations at Multiversity SpA, where oversaw efforts to continuously improve the student and alumni experience at scale.
“Fulvio Peppucci’s background running complex academic and private-sector institutions will aid us enormously in building a solid administrative foundation for the Academy’s second century,” said Peter N. Miller, President and CEO.
"What excites me most is the opportunity to contribute to an extraordinary community of artists and scholars, in one of Rome’s most inspiring settings," said Peppucci. "I take on this role committed to serving the Academy and helping it meet the challenges of the coming decades with strength and resilience."
As the Academy’s first COO, Peppucci will oversee the institution’s day-to-day operations, including Finance, Human Resources, Residential Life, Facilities, and the Kitchen and Garden.
The creation of the COO position was first proposed by former President Adele Chatfield-Taylor (1984 Fellow) in 1997 as part of the Academy’s Strategic Plan. Welcoming Peppucci to the Academy, in the words of AAR President and CEO Peter N. Miller, “marks the fulfillment of this vision and the beginning of a new era for this 132-year-old institution.” Please join us in welcoming him to the Academy.
