Electric Hum Chorus
In 'Spazzino', two street sweepers will actively tend the sidewalk on Via Angelo Masina during Open Studios. Gently engaging the spectators, these performers will work the block in a stylized sweep, an everyday action that reveals humility and humanity and reflects the plight of the independent migrant looking to improve their standing in society.
This will be the third iteration of the ‘Spazzino’ work, following earlier performances staged on The Spanish Steps and Scalea del Tamburino.
In the studio, 'Electric Chorus Express' will premiere as a new work, featuring electric delivery cyclists as they move clockwise in a tight circle. Traveling at a constant speed, the three cyclists will rotate around the space until they are no longer physically able to continue or until the bicycle battery is depleted.
