Biography

Oliver Sensen’s main research focuses on dignity, autonomy, and respect. Apart from Tulane, he has taught ethics, including medical ethics, at Harvard University, Cambridge University, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Sensen has won teaching awards for graduate and undergraduate teaching, and he serves as vice president of the North American Kant Society. His PhD supervisor was Baroness Onora O’Neill, the former head of the Nuffield Foundation who wrote Autonomy and Trust in Bioethics.
