Renato Leotta
Renato Leotta’s work focuses on the observation of landscape and architecture, on the way they incorporate people into potential narratives and psychological subtexts. The Mediterranean and Italy, in particular, provide a framework for a close study of the social and cultural transformation provoked by neoliberalism and postliberalism. Observing the way time and space are perceived in architecture, Leotta will focus on the Pantheon, considering light entering the sphere enclosed by the building’s volume in connection to photography and architecture. The structure would turn into a darkroom able to both create images and set the poetical process in motion like a clock.
