My research proposal is based on an investigation into the relationship between architecture and desire. Within this sphere of study, architecture is explored as a mise en scène, a display capable of ordering and exhibiting its content, of responding to desire or even of engendering it. In the postwar West, the figure of the single man arose to reaffirm his position of power, and he did this also by displaying his desire through architecture. The project aims to critic the centrality of the single man in order to understand and problematize the present time.
