Biography

Tom Bissell lives in New York and currently teaches writing in Bennington College’s MFA program. Pantheon Press has published three of his books: Chasing the Sea: Lost among the Ghosts of Empire in Central Asia (2003), God Lives in St. Petersburg (2005), and the forthcoming The Father of All Things: A Marine, His Son, and the Legacy of Vietnam. His essays have been published in the New York Times Magazine, Harper’s, the Boston Review, and elsewhere.
