Project title
Inhabiting the Skin of Caravaggio
Project description

John Kelly creates performance works that are character-driven, nonlinear, and mostly nonverbal in which he “inhabits” historical figures such as Egon Schiele and Arnold Schoenberg’s Pierrot Lunaire. In Rome, he will begin work on a new piece inspired by the life of Caravaggio, conducting research and creating elements—paintings, props, video, sound—which will eventually be incorporated.
